Rwanda (on the bike)

Pics & videos from July 28th...
Biking with Rafiki Day!
Loved the friendly locals who were curious about our bicycles.
This was such a pretty stop by the lake.
Posing with the bikes.
Then we all enjoyed eating bananas together.
One of many favorite stops on our ride for sure!
Children gathering to see their faces after posing for a photo. :-)

A little volleyball with the kiddos. Good player already!
Back on the bikes.

Check out these perfect crops.
I want this garden.
This is a typical single track trail. The hill sides are covered with crops and trails winding through the plots.
A boy on his way to get water... pushing a homemade wheel barrel.
More cute kids.
There was a LOT of hill climbing... but always rewarded with a great view.
We were also rewarded with a great fish lunch by the lake.
Visiting with the staff.
I like Rafiki's selfie!
On the bike again.
Then off the bike for a quick repair.
Beautiful scenery here.
Beautiful scenery there.
Beautiful scenery everywhere.
:-)

  1. You and Bob did really see some beautiful scenery...was the volleyball really a ball or something they made???

  2. It is a homemade ball... made out of plastic bags wrapped with twine/string. We saw several kids with soccer balls like this.
