Day 5 (10/27): Climbing up Baranco Wall.
Leaving camp #4 & heading out for our day's hike to our next higher campground.
Baranco Wall straight ahead. :-0
A nice view of Kilimanjaro as we get closer to Baranco Wall.
I like this pic.
I reeeaaaally like this pic. Men in green! They didn't even plan this...hahaha.
Bob, Raymond, Leonard.
And now we're on the Baranco Wall. It's steep!
Some parts required using our hands.

Then we see our zuni sana (AWESOME) porters hiking up the Baranco Wall.
We are humbled everyday by their strength, determination & positivity!!

They fly by us making it look easy (but we know it's not). Thank you, guys...we appreciate you ALL!
Max at the top of the Baranco Wall.
Max sitting on the ledge of Baranco Wall.
Jumping near the edge. :-)
We were feeling good so we jumped some more!
Then we took a break...the jumping wore us out. Not kidding - it doesn't take much at altitude!
We chilled on this rock for a while and refueled with lunch. This was our mid-way point for today's hike.

2nd half of Day 5 coming up...

  2. hahaha. I had the energy at the time but soon after I was feeling dizzy, and a bit unwell. So weird how altitude effects you if you exert yourself...even just a little bit!
