10/31: We're off on another adventure!
David, Bob & I boarded this little plane to fly from Arusha to the Serengeti.
Safari here we come!!
It was a neat perspective to see Africa from the air.
Mt. Meru.
And that's Mount Kilimanjaro behind & to the left of Mt. Meru.
Just 48 hours ago Bob was standing on the top of that peak!
The rim of Ngorogoro Crater with a good view of some Masai Villages.
Later in our trip we'll get to tour a Masai Village. They are a semi-nomadic tribe living in these villages with their cattle, goats & large extended families.
As we get ready to land at the Serengeti airport we spot hundreds of Wildebeest. They are running everywhere! The 3 of us got pretty excited because just maybe we'd get in on some of the migration of the wildebeest. Hope so!
Emanuel greeted us with a big smile & a waiting jeep for cruising the open plains. Let's get this Safari started! :-)
PS: We had met Emanuel on day 1 in Arusha. He happened to be our driver that day when we went to visit Kapanya. We were sure excited when we found out Emanuel would be our Safari guide. He's cool. :-)
The start of another great adventure...this will be a trip you will always remember.
