Day 4 (part 2) on Kilimanjaro (10/26)...
After lunch at Lava Tower we headed down to Baranco camp. It was a lengthy descent in yes...more rain! Look at the face on the large rock. :-O
The trees & scenery were so unique.

It felt like we were standing in the middle of a Dr. Seuss book. :-)
The rain stopped & it was quite pleasant out.
These plants look a lot like Joshua trees. I wonder if they are related?
And THERE is camp. A welcome sight!
Arriving at Baranco Camp! First into our tents to get dry clothes on and then into the dining tent for tea & coffee (snacks too). I love our camp routine. :-)
I just can't get over the different types of trees, etc. you saw...never imagined it would look like this...rain, rain, and more rain!
ReplyDeleteWe had the same surprise with the variation of terrain & vegetation. Was more beautiful than we imagined. Was wetter than we expected too. hahahaha.
