Our friends Charlie & Karen flew back yesterday to Ohio. Sounded like they were greeted with snow on the ground (big contrast from the 96 degree day we had when they were here). Can't say enough good things about these two...they are such generous, loving, fun & caring friends!! Thanks again for the sweet gifts (like Austria chocolate!) but also for the other thoughtful things you do for Bob & I. :-)

I want to show off Charlie's amazing talent for painting! He really is an accomplished painter (we have two of his originals in our home) and the paintings I'm posting here are ones they brought to us this trip (as 8 & 1/2 color copies of the originals). The above & below are two paintings for me. They are beautiful & detailed!!

I of course love the flowers & the little girl has similarities to my great niece, Riley. A precious painting.

These last 5 paintings Charlie gave to Bob including the story that goes with the last painting.

These top two paintings are actually for Bob's dad who was an engineer for NASA.

I don't remember how many awards Charlie has won in various artist shows or contests...but the ribbons & awards are numerous!! And by the way...this is Charlie's hobby. He's been a full time accountant & still does accounting work.  Above airplane is a Corsair (Bob told me that). :-)
