My birthday is coming up...April 26th. I like to joke that I get to celebrate my birthday all of April (why limit a birthday to just 1 day). :-) Anyway...my mother-in-law surprised me with some lovely early birthday gifts. Thank you, Pat & Bob! I LOVE the turquoise necklace, earrings & ring (which have a beautiful history having once belonged to Aunt Ester (Bob Sr.'s aunt from PA). They are lovely & I have already been wearing the necklace!

Pat also gave me this new teapot (which I needed)! My other one exploded last week when I poured in the hot water. This teapot set came with cream, sugar, saucers & cups. So fun!

Pat & Bob also delivered an old window (R) from PA (it was from Pat's childhood home). The window on the left was one I got at a garage sale years ago but the glass broke. Both of these windows were repaired with new glass installed by Ray. Actually the glass he installed is authentic old glass (the kind with the bubbles in it). They look great and I'm so glad to have them. Thank you, Pat, Bob, Ray & Linda!

Last night our Argentine Giant cactus by our front gate started to bloom. We noticed it around dusk and by dark it was in full bloom.

This morning it was still in all it's glory. Such gorgeous big flowers & so unique how they bloomed in a row of 4. These type of flowers wilt after 24 hours. We have our fingers crossed that by the time our friends, Karen & Charlie get here (around 6pm) they'll still be looking pretty.
