Bob & I made it to ZION National Park!
It's beautiful here! Huge Zion Canyon behind me where the Virgin River flows through.
Today's trek took us to Observation Point.
Bob observing. :-)
We started early enough to have sunrise yoga at 6500 feet.
Me yoga-ing. ;-)
That's one tough flower growing up through the granite!
Amazingly there were many flowers finding their way out of the rocks.
We hung out at Observation Point & enjoyed a backpacker's breakfast; PB&J, Cheezits, & trail mix!

Observation Point plus Hidden Canyon & the
River Walk made for a 14 mile day & 3,000 ft elevation gain.
It was an awesome 1st day in Zion!
PS: That's Observation Point behind us.

  2. We were amazed too. Many different kinds & colors were sprouting up through cracks in the rock. They are determined flowers!! Really pretty to see.
