My Facebook post:
Didn't think I had saved these newspaper clippings let alone be able to find them today... 1 day after the passing of my brother, Rod. I miss him already. But through tears I am truly thankful for the impact he had on so many (as evidenced by the hundreds of messages I've read on FB to him & is children - THANK YOU everyone for that gift to him). Rod was not only my brother who shared in family events but I had the unique experience of having him as my high school BB, track & softball coach. Those HS days are special memories - an amazing opportunity for a little sister to see her brother in this way. I undoubtedly grew as a person by his positive leadership. Beyond high school my brother, Rod became a wonderful friend & I'll cherish he & Kathy's Spring time visits to Arizona. Hikes in the desert, long talks & garage sales on Saturday morning (Rod, like my mom...can find the best bargains!). Forever my brother...I thank you, love you & hold our memories close.

Above photo: Before Rod became the EH-K Lady Danes coach (& my coach) we competed against his successful Walnut teams. This was a special article about that "Battle". :-)
I LOVE my brother, Rod!
These newspaper clippings bring back wonderful memories of playing BB with Jan Jensen, Kim Jacobsen & of course so many awesome girls & teammates! Love them! This was under my brother Rod's coaching at EH-K.
A favorite photo with my brother, Rod & mom. Spring time in Arizona. Some very good memories.

  2. Definitely thinking of those times when Rod came to visit us in Arizona. Also thinking of how good he was to Mom...visiting her often & taking her on car rides around the country to visit friends and family. Mom is gonna miss Rod so much!
