Me: Here are a few more photos from our hike yesterday including this giant saguaro cactus. Bob & I are standing at the base of it. It's TALL!
Right after we took the cactus photo this guy rattled giving us fair warning to get out of his way. We did…I screamed & ran. I DON'T like rattlesnakes & for the rest of the hike down I was quite jumpy.
Then Bob spotted this colorful King Snake. Now, I still don't like snakes but I am learning to like King Snakes because apparently they keep rattlesnakes away (actually they eat them)! Where was this King Snake when we needed him by the tall cactus!?
On a fun note…this little guy was hanging out at the summit. Cute!
Nate testing out his new "selfie stick"! It sure helps to bring in more of the view. Probably gonna get one of these!
It could come in handy for our 14'ers.
 The guys at the top
The guys hiking down.
We avoided getting any Jumping Cholla thorns in our shoes. Success!

PS: Heading to NYC today. Excited to catch a Broadway show (Mama Mia), attend a Kelly & Michael show (Tuesday morning) & see a session of the US Open (Women's semi-finals). Won't be able to post while away. Have a wonderful Labor Day & great week all!
