9-10-15

Me: Started our September 9th morning with some New York Bagels. ;-)
We actually did have some bagels at this "Best Bagel & Coffee" shop.
NYC hand rolled & kettle boiled bagels lived up to their hype.
Then it was on the Citibikes for a another full day of sightseeing.
Arriving at the Financial District.
New York Stock Exchange.
Wall Street.
Where George Washington took his oath of office as the 1st President of the USA.
Bob in front of The Trump Building. Will Donald Trump be our 45th President??
On Wall Street was a lovely little jewelry store called Tiffanys. Again Bob said "NO" to my purchase request. :-) Isn't this a pretty necklace tough!!?
We went from Wall Street to China Town to Little Italy.
Bob said "YES!" to this purchase! :-)
Charming Italian bakery filled with delicious pastries.
Found a sweet spot for some Sangria & an Italian pasta dinner.
Tonight's highlight and definitely one of my top NYC highlights was seeing the Broadway musical Mama Mia!!
I LOVED all the music, the dancing and the story! It was our first time seeing this musical & though WICKED is my favorite musical…Mama Mia is a close 2nd!
I bought our tickets a long time before our trip & couldn't remember if I got us decent seats. We were pleasantly surprised to be in row 3 front & center! Wahoo!
At my begging we even did the whole waiting outside to see some of the actors exiting the show Stage Left! Thanks, honey. ;-)
PS: This actor, John Hemphill has also done some TV including Gray's Anatomy.
Great day & night!

  1. You really had a fun filled day....didn't you love Little Italy and China Town???? Did you buy anything from the street vendors selling knock off purses and watches???

  2. We really didn't buy much the whole trip. I bought a t-shirt from the US Open and we did get a small handmade "rat" from a street vendor in China Town. Kinda funny because that night (not far from our hotel) I saw a rat on the street. :-(
