North Elous is my 18th Colorado 14er and Bob's 9th!
This is John & Jenn's FIRST 14'er!! Wahoo! They were rock stars on this hike! BTW: The peak in the background is a 14'er (Mt. Eolus). We're heading there next!
This is Rich's 56th Colorado 14er!!
Rich completed the list of 54 Colorado 14'ers last year. He wanted to return to the Chicago Basin peaks because #1) It's one of the most beautiful settings to camp & hike #2) It's been a long time since he's been here #3) John, Jenn, Bob & I are really fun to hang out with! ;-) Thanks for leading us on this Weminuche Wilderness advenuture, Rich!

So from North Elous we downclimbed to the saddle, traversed the catwalk and climbed up some class 3 rock sections to the top of Mt Eolus. Nice job, guys!!

A picture perfect day at the summit!
John & Jenn; 2nd 14er…check!!
Congrats to the Marmoteeers for a successful two 14'er day. So fun!
PS: Rich won the milkshake contest. We always bet on how many other hikers will be on the summit while we are there. In today's case…there were ZERO. We did see other hikers while ascending & descending but we had the peaks to ourselves. What kind of milkshake do you want, Rich?

What kind of milkshake did Rich get??? The sky was perfect...love blue skies with big white puffy clouds!
