Me: At 5:00am this morning we picked up April & set off for another adventure. We drove 5 hours to Page, AZ & did a couple short hikes that impressed us with amazing rock formations. The above photo is from lower Antelope Canyon. It's a beautiful slot canyon with powder sand floors & artistically designed walls made by wind & rain. All this is accented with the rays of light that peek through small openings above the canyon walls.
Our second trek was to see Horseshoe Bend. We've seen photographs of this in magazines but didn't realize it was just 2 miles south of Page. This section of Colorado River makes a unique horseshoe turn around a giant red rock peninsula. When you get to the edge to have a look of this landmark it takes your breath away. We took a zillion photos (which I'll be posting next week) and then sat on the edge to admire the view.
Beautiful pics, but I know I could not have gotten as close to the edge as you and Bob did....I hate heights!!!
