Marangu (family)

Johnson has a wonderful family and what an amazing welcome from them all!
8/10 - First we were treated to a feast so lovingly prepared for our arrival.
Johnson, Bob & David (Johnson's uncle).
We took a stroll through their farm to see their crops, plots of land and animals.
It was so green everywhere and reminded me of Hawaii.

Growing maze, potatoes, cabbage, avocados, coffee beans, bananas & more. Wow!
Johnson, me, goats, Bob, and Grandfather Ignes along with some of his cute little grandkids.
Agnes is quite the farmer and interesting person. Showing Bob his homemade mole trap. Pretty nifty.
Back at the house we played hacky sack.
These soccer players are naturals at this game!
Fun video of the action!
I read the story of Penelope!
The Positive Pony story was a hit. :-)
Agnes look'n good with his new American Airlines jacket. :-)

The next morning David & Johnson picked us up from our lovely Marangu hotel to drive us back to the family farm. This is the view from their front gate; snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro!
This pic was from our drive to their home. Shows the lovely hills of Marangu with Kilimanjaro in the distance.
Back at the farm we see that Ignes caught a big mole overnight.
That mole was huge (not particularly cute either) and we weren't gonna let it go free again.
Remember that Whac-a-mole arcade game? This was the real life version.
Family kitty enjoying the sun. Sooooo cute.

More pics tomorrow of kitty, coffee making, coffee drinking, and goat slaughtering!
We were given a nice goat from Johnson's grandparents as our welcome gift.
Having an awesome time in Marangu.
