Tom's Thumb hike; everyone grab a kid and...

Minnesotans Kyle, Logan, Nellie & Kyle were happy to try out an Arizona hike.

Nash was pretty content in the backpack here...but about 30 minutes later he was not a happy camper. I don't blame him really since he's such a little guy & has been breaking out in a sun rash. I think he was hot and very tired. I hiked back down with Kyle, Logan, Nellie & Nash while the rest of the crew went to the top. I really enjoyed that time talking since I rarely see them. Such cute & sweet kiddos!

The 1/2 way point. We've come a long ways! Glad that Laura (in pink) was able to join us for the hike. She is a long time friend of Carol's (& mine).

Impressed with Owen carrying Ada up this steep trail on his shoulders!! Ada Jane was happy about it! :-)

Not sure I ever posted that April called off her wedding (which was supposed to be this day, April 22nd). ALL the family that arrived for this week of vacation had originally booked to partake in the marriage celebration. April broke things off in March (proud of her doing so if things didn't feel right). We certainly wish Michael ALL the best. He's a good guy with a very kind family. Anyway... most of April's side of the family kept their travel plans to vacation in Arizona. So glad they did!!!

Congratulations to the HOEGH family...they successfully hiked every day of their vacation completing some very impressive local treks...

Each mountain has been unique. Love that about Arizona!
