Me: Today was the annual Model T Speedster Run in San Jose. Bob has been able to join his dad for several of these events and it's always a great time!
In addition to the Speedster Run which had 35 model T cars participating there was also a low land tour where the Model A groupies could have some fun. Looked like there were about 30 Model A cars with their drivers and passengers dressed in era clothing.

Pat is Chief Warrior, no Chief Worrier, I mean Chief Organizer! ;-) She really is one of the main organizers and did a fantastic job again this year putting together a successful event. She and Bob are instrumental members of their clubs for sure!!
At the start and off to drive 150 miles. That's not easy if you know how hard it is to drive a Model T. Then add in hills & temps up to 100 degrees. These drivers are tough!
The racers followed their map (which was revealed to them that morning) and make their way to various checkpoints including lunch where they cross paths with the Model A folks.
The Lick Observatory on top of Mt. Hamilton was an interesting stop for everyone. Bob, Bob & others took time to look around inside.
Bob Sr. is one of the guys who always helps broken down T's. Here Bob Sr. and his buddy Ray are working roadside on the local high school's speedster.
While the guys were driving the pretty countryside and Pat was running to the check points, I snuck away to hang out with my sister-in-law and nieces (my brother-in-law too but he was recovering from literally flying around the world so he got a sleep pass). All of us girls had a nice time playing 4 square and doing some arts and crafts.
Later we headed to the Model-T finish area. The girls did some tree climbing while we watched the speedsters trickle in.

Back at the house and we're OUT. Another big and fun day!
Another wonderful day with your family....I must say you guys are able to do a lot in a short period of time....good timing with swimming and model T race in same week end.
