6-16-14

Me: On Saturday (6-15) April, Jason, Harley and I took a day trip to Sedona & Flagstaff for some hiking. First stop was Chapel of the Holy Cross. "Does it look familiar, Karen & Charlie?" I had toured Sedona in 2012 with our friends, Karen & Charlie and this was a favorite sight.
Back to Saturday morning…the 4 of us (Harley counts) did a scenic drive followed by an easy hike to Devil's Bridge. Here we are standing on it.
What an amazing view and what a "thrill" or "fear" when you stand on the walkway. Funny thing…when Harley and I got to the narrowest part of the bridge Harley crouched down on all fours and did a military crawl. I didn't know she could sense the ledge or the drop (I'm glad she does). I kept her on a leash and right next to me. Good girl, Harley!
April showed no fear doing a cartwheel. :-)
And then we broke out the yoga poses!
There is always one photo that turns out just perfect…this is it. Love it!
April and Jason described their jump as reaching for Heaven on Devil's Bridge.
Saw a happy century plant on our pretty hike out. Then back on the road to Flagstaff.
The temps were perfect in Flag and we decided on a 2 hour hike up Sunset Trail. Great view of Humphrey's Peak behind us. That is the mountain April, Bob, Harley and I did last month and there was quite a bit of snow on top. It's all melted now.
At the turn around point we had a good view all around. To the north we could see many burnt trees from a past forest fire.
These two make a great couple! I always enjoy time with them, especially if it's combined with some cool hikes.
So cute…<3 Love <3

  2. There was another group at Devil's Bridge when we were there. They took the pic of the 4 of us. Otherwise I took the pics or Jason. It was easy to walk from the viewing point to on top of the bridge so we had fun trying different shots. :-)
