Me: Cast came off today! Yeah!
My thumb is "frozen" after being in the cast for 6 weeks. So, I have some work to do in occupational therapy (3x week) and with home exercises to bring back mobility. Thumb is still in a fragile stage and will wear a brace while sleeping and doing activities. Ligaments apparently need a lot of time to become solid again. Other fingers and wrist need therapy too. Just glad to be on to this next stage.
I know you are so happy to have the cast off....now with PT you will get your thumb back...happy you are wearing a brace to protect it...you don't know how many times you hit your thumb until it is sore....good luck!
