11-28-17

11/6 continued...Bob & I drove beyond Bruge, Belgium and made it to Rotterdam, Holland. We'll have 3 nights in Rotterdam. The above photo shows the houseboat we'll be staying in on night #3. We're pretty excited about it! Bob found it on Air B&B & the floating house is made of cardboard. But more on that later! :-)
Here are a few pics from around Rotterdam, Holland.
Cube housing.
Not sure I could sleep comfortably in those places?!
Well known Market Hall behind us.
Also a LOT of bikes in Rotterdam...but not even close to the number in Amsterdam.
Huge wall murals inside the Marketplace.
It was a gorgeous building full of many market shops.
Like this one...yum! :-)
Or this one...got clogs?
Preview of tomorrow's biking tour of Kinderdijk.
Famous place in Holland with 19 windmills!

  1. I agree with you...the cube houses were weird...Rotterdam looks like an interesting city.

  2. Rotterdam is called the city of architecture. From 1950 to 1970 the city was almost entirely rebuilt (after being bombed & destroyed in war in 1940). So today the city has very interesting and modern buildings. Extremely unique architecture which makes for fun sight seeing!
