We saw a bear today!!

It wasn't this one but we did see a bear. Harley spotted the bear as we left the cabin in our car for our drive back to Phoenix. We had hoped to see a bear this summer & well, now we did (talk about last minute). Pat & Bob saw a bear Thursday morning so that makes 2 bears for the Meneely's this year. :-)

We also met the lady who took the above photo. Isn't that a great pic! We bought this 5x7 print during an art tour in Tahoe yesterday. It was fun talking with her about the bear shoot (with a camera). ;-) Colleen Clark lives in Tahoe and while she was walking near Taylor Creek (next to Kiva Beach) she saw this bear. He was gnawing away on the mountain bike tires! She watched & took a series of photos of the bear with his (someone's) bike. Glad we happened upon the art tour...her work & many of the other local artists was a fun thing to browse. The artists were set up in homes so you picked up a map & drove to the various cabins to view the art (about 15 homes on the tour). We will definitely do it again next year. PS: I also like seeing people's cabins inside (I'm goofy like that).
