My last day swimming with Ashley (from St. Charles, IL). I met Ashley on Monday & all week we swam our laps together at 6:30am. I also played activities coordinator; giving Ashley & her mom all the places they needed to visit, eat & tour while in Tahoe. It made the week extra fun by hearing their excitement for Tahoe daily. Nice folks.
After Bob & I swam our laps we hung out at Bijou Park to watch the BMX state bike races. There were ALL categories starting with the Striders (ages 1 to 5) up to PRO racers who were quite impressive. Those striders were adorable though. The littlest ones rode balance bikes & the 6 and up were on pedal bikes.
Saturday also included a stop at a small local museum. We always enjoy learning more about the history of Tahoe. Bob was surprised to see that TWA flew into Tahoe back in the day (maybe the 50's)? No year was posted on the photo. This airport is 2 miles from the cabin. Cool shot!
Saturday evening we headed to Valhalla for a musical performance. It was performed in this old boat house at Camp Richardson.
The musical "Spelling Bee" was fantastic; professional & funny. Intermission allowed us to see the sunset off the dock which was fantastic too. A great day!

  2. Thanks, Karen...today I'm doing a ton of laundry (that's not so exciting...LOL). Bob left for a 5 day trip this morning so I'm doing clean-up, catch-up and back to some routine Tahoe stuff which is fun too! :-)
