6-18-16

Yesterday Harley & I took a long walk on the beach & this pier. I think it's the longest pier in Tahoe!
We walked all the way to this beach with Heavenly ski mountain in the background. Bob & I were married in 1999 on top of Heavenly Mountain just left of those 2 ski runs seen in this photo. We stayed 1 night at Tahoe Embassy Suites (above) as Mr. & Mrs Bob Meneely. The next afternoon we caught a flight to Hawaii!!
This is the lake view from that same beach & where we had church the morning after our wedding. My brother-in-law, Paul (who also married us) hosted a wonderful Sunday service here!
Great memories!

This morning (6/18) I competed in a local mountain bike race. I placed second in the Expert/Pro division. My local friend, Genevieve took 1st place! We had fun! My time was 4 hrs & 27 min for 50 miles with around 4,500 ft of climbing.
While I was racing my bike Bob & his dad were flying a plane. They flew the Bonanza from The Bay to South Lake Tahoe airport. I picked them up on my way home from the race (nice timing).
They had a great time together & took some nice shots of Tahoe! Here you can see Cascade Lake on the left, Emerald Bay on the right and part of Lake Tahoe at the bottom of pic. Still a good bit of snow on those mountains!
Here is a good photo of The Keys, a community with water canals for the residents boats. We often take Harley to the beach by The Keys. That's where we found the lavender lupins field.
Love this shot of Bob's dad! So happy Bob & Bob were able to do this flight...a perfect way to spend Father's Day weekend!
