Me: Blue Skies around the Space Needle!
Looks like a great morning to go up, UP, UUUUP!
A 43 second elevator ride & we're at the top of the Space Needle.
That's Union Lake behind us (looking north).
This is looking east.
And this is looking south to downtown. I guess the clouds are rolling in.
And the clouds are rolling out! There are the high rise buildings & behind that cloud (in the far distance) is Mt. Rainer. We got a faint glimpse of it. Glad it was pointed out to us as it was neat to see.
Back down on the ground. Clouds are gone, the sun is out!
We really lucked out on the weather - sure makes touring more fun!
Bob had a great idea to try out the city bike share program. You pay a small fee & can ride these bikes all over. You install them in various stations around the city & can keep using within a 24 hr period.
Couldn't pass up this photo op in Sculpture Park.

Back on the bikes and next stop: Miners Landing at Pier 57.
The GREAT WHEEL of Seattle.
I wonder if that would fit on our wheel wall?!
A little clam chowder for lunch before boarding a ferry boat to Bainbridge Island.
More on that in my next post (that's enough pics for today). ;-)
Looks like you had a wonderful time in Seattle....really great that the weather co-operated....as always really enjoyed your pics!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen. Yes, blue skies and a nice temperature sure added to the pleasure of sight-seeing. We may not have liked Seattle as much if it rained the whole time (which certainly can be the case!) :-)
