Me: Colorado 14'er Prep.
Bob and I are heading to Colorado on Monday. We'll be in Aspen & surrounding area for a couple weeks. We are looking forward to relaxing, hanging out with friends & family and hiking some 14'ers! Today I did some Colorado prep: packing our tent, sleeping bags and making summit signs for the mountain peaks we hope to bag.
Today's highlights:
- I did my first "real" bike ride since hand surgery. 30 miles! The hand still hurts & has a good bit of healing to go but it sure was nice to be pedaling again!
- Bob has 3 Phoenix layovers this week so he was home today, he's back tonight and is here all day tomorrow!
Today's lowlight:
- It's reeeeeaaally HOT! I think it was 114 degrees today. Ugh. Another reason to be excited about Colorado.
With those high temps I know you are anxiously waiting to go to CO. Can't wait to hear about your climbs...especially Maroon Bells, and Pike's Peak...we drove to the top of Pike's Peak which was a challenge...can't imagine hiking it. It was so windy at the top that it took our breath away!
ReplyDeleteYou rode your bike....I'm sure you were excited about that....maybe PHX will be Bob's new hub....wouldn't that be wonderful!
ReplyDelete95 degrees at 4:30am this morning and 115 again this afternoon. Can't wait to be in CO. :-)
