Me: This morning we had breakfast in Guilin (flew here last night) and boarded a cruise ship at 9:30am.
We were off for a 4 hour tour down the Li River. It was amazing!
Saw several of these guys along the way. It scared us when our cruise ship nearly ran one over until we realized...
it was the "fruit salesman's" intent to get that close. They would maneuver their bamboo boats (the original stand up paddle board) to latch onto the cruise ship and sell their fruit to the tourists through the outside windows.
Breathtaking around every turn.
This is the exact location depicted on the back of the $20 Yuan bill.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen! We actually just landed in L.A. We are beat and now sick. :-( I got the flu the last day in China and now Bob has it too. Glad it happened at the end of our trip, but made for a rough and very long flight back to the states. One last short flight to San Jose. Awesome time in China. Must get sleep. :-)
