I really hate finding a snake in our garage!!!
But I really REALLY hate LOSING a snake in our garage! :-(
When I was putting something away in the garage this morning I heard a hiss... I looked up and saw this big guy draped across our bike rack. I freaked... a SNAKE in our garage!?! I called Bob who was in California (not much help from there). I then called James who came over right away. By the time James arrived the snake had slithered under the cabinets.
We (I mean James) removed items to find the snake retreated to the corner of the garage behind some paint cans.
I was documenting the snake hunt with my iPhone (from the safety of the car of course).
Bob sent this photo to me later showing my Scardy Cat ways & James bravery (pic from security cam). Hahahaha!
When trying to lure the snake out one way it went the other way. Can't figure out why the snake wouldn't just get into this nice garbage can for us! LOL. #rookies
Instead the snake climbed up the wall and behind our hanging industrial cabinets. There it stayed. No longer could we see the snake very well... and James had to get back to work. :-( I'm now left hostage in my house. Bob returns tomorrow & then he and James can do some strategic snake hunting. Until then... sweet dreams for you. I'll be having nightmares. #idon'tlike snakes.
PS: When James was here he could see it wasn't a rattlesnake (no rattle). And brother in law, Rod identified the reptile as a gopher snake by the photo on Facebook. Phew! Even though that is good news... there is still a snake in our garage.
PPS: I did leave a dish of water in the garage in case the snake gets thirsty.
#goodnight
I agree with you...I DON'T LIKE SNAKES! I would have been terrified if I had seen the snake...thank goodness that James was available...so nice of you to leave a bowl of water for the animal you hate!!!
ReplyDeletehahaha... I was feeling bad. But also stressed with a snake in our garage.
