Last week we started & finished the BIG project of re-roofing our home. In addition, Bob had the good idea to take down the 2 chimney stacks on top of the house. Both were useless since we had removed the 2 inside fireplaces 5 years ago.
Of course Bob & I played no role in the hard work of re-roofing. :-/  It was a warm week so I felt for these guys (I guess the month of May is better than July for roofing in Phoenix though). The finished roof looks awesome & more importantly it works (we hope) for when the next big rain comes.
Its not fun spending $ on big maintenance items but it is satisfying to have them completed.

  1. I can't even imagine doing roofing in July in AZ...spending the money for a new roof will be a reward when you have no leaks...years ago I had saved money to re-do our kitchen only to have the roof leak...at least I had the money saved to pay for it...finally got my kitchen later!
