Wineries of New Zealand...
This is Chard Farm Vineyard.
After our bungy jump on 11/9 Bob & I toured a few nearby wineries. You can't ask for a more beautiful setting than green hills & striking mountains as a backdrop!
Some of the wineries were small & quaint. Love this 1 room brick tasting cellar; Georgetown Winery.
Other wineries were huge & modern.
Fancy tasting room at Peregrine Winery. We also loved this place!
We stopped at Gibbston Valley Vineyard & Cheesery. Taste testing cheese is as appealing to me as chocolate sampling! New Zealand has about 50 wineries in the hills, mountains & nearby lakes surrounding Queenstown.
This is probably our all time favorite winery anywhere. Rippon Vineyard overlooks Lake Wanaka. We toured this winery on a different day & it was beyond amazing! Hillside poppies, perfect grapevine fields, glassy lake, snowy mountains = romantic!
We went to this funky cellar on our last night in New Zealand. It's a wine bar in Arrowtown called The Blue Door. It was recommended to us by the owner of Georgetown Winery. It's not an easy place to find (on purpose) as it's a locals' after dinner bar. We loved sitting around the fire sipping a glass of wine.

"I don't like whiny & cheesy people, but I do like wine & cheese people." :-)  anonymous.
