Martin: The bride wrote & sang a song for the groom. All in Thai, so we all just smiled.
Me: Last night's rainbow was so pretty & we took it as a good sign for Bob's healing!
After a rough day it sure was a lovely sight from our backyard!
Bob update: Though no crash would be best we are thankful his injuries weren't worse. He had a 2nd opinion today from our friend, an orthopedist and he says Bob's collar bone break is more on the mild side. His separated shoulder has actually not worsened from the separation he already had from an injury 10 years ago. His ribs are not broken but have some cartilage injury next to the sternum (which will heal fine with time). That is what hurts when he breathes. Our friend encouraged Bob to do some walking to prevent secondary injuries like increased back pain etc. So, as Bob can tolerate he will try to be up & do deep breathing. He is taking pain medication to help & we are expecting a 4-6 week recovery. With that being said we are hopeful that we'll drive to Tahoe next week sometime and let Bob recover with a view of the the pine trees and blue water. :-)
Thanks for the update....relieved to know that Bob's injuries aren't any more severe, but know that doesn't relieve the pain....Tahoe is just what he needs to recover!
