Once the sun was out we were off to the Tempe Arts Festival. We had a great time shopping & eating.
Back at the house the guys got busy constructing the "House of Figs". It has netting all around the structure to keep the birds from eating our yummy fruit. Love it, nice job!
Pat was busy making fudge while the rest of us sampled it again and again. Yep, we are almost sure she's got it right. Will have to sample some fudge tomorrow just to be sure. ;-)
Planting cactus in our backyard pots. Look'n good!
Harley supervising the whole operation.
Tonight we had a delicious dinner at home: turkey, rice, broccoli, bread & soup. Fudge for desert of course! :-). And then an impromptu opening of Christmas gifts. Bob will be flying on Christmas so we did a little celebrating tonight. Here are the super cool gifts Pat & Bob gave me (all from the Tempe Arts Fair). The little cactus in a pot is made of fabric (so cute). The purse is sewn out of men's ties (clever and I love it)! The iron owl with his watchful eyes is awesome (I have him perched on a kitchen shelf). Bob got a pair of his favorite hiking shoes and a backpack to use for his work travels. Thank you, Pat and Bob! We really enjoyed the day together!
You really had a full day....love the presents you received for Christmas! So good that Bob and Pat were able to spend time with you and Bob....know you enjoyed it!
