Me: We met some Arizonan friends in Leadville this morning.
Biked up St. Kevins; the first climb of the Leadville 100 race.
Rode past Turquoise Lake.
Being artsy (we think).
Enjoying Boom Days in the middle of Mainstreet, Leadville!

Bob found a cute burro that he'd like to take home.
Mining Competition. Pretty intense as 2 man teams hammer into a rock nearly smashing their partner's hand with every swing.
Burro Racing. Next year we're renting a burro and doing this grueling 26 mile run. The burros definitely have a mind of their own often requiring some coaxing.
Hate to leave you with this disturbing photo but we came across this creepy baby forest on our drive from Aspen this morning. On a random roadside stop I found myself surrounded by too many naked babies to count, all hanging from trees with their heads looking at me. I ran back to the car to get Bob, Brian and our camera. A sign on the fence said; "No Trespassing!!!" You know it, we won't!
Jane - Love your pictures...except the last one...that person must be a weirdo!!! Leadville looks like a awesome town.
ReplyDeleteMartin - Beautiful sky!
