Happy 4th of July!!

The 4th of July started out with the traditional kids races in Exira.

Caedrian is in the middle (red flag t-shirt) & Judson is in black. Kavan is behind Caedrian.

Even the big kids raced...including me, a few siblings, several older nieces & nephews & yep...even mom!!

Here is mom winning her age division! She really was running...so impressed, mom!!

After the races we had a long line of kids & grown-ups lining the parade route. Left end of pic is April & right end of pic is Dean with everyone else is in-between.

PS: Danielle & Dawn are sisters & my 2 oldest nieces. We grew up together...just 1 mile apart (Elk Horn, IA).

The professional candy catchers! Alice, Clara & Ada Jane. Alice is Dawn & Thomas's oldest daughter (West Chester, PA). Clara & Ada belong to Owen & Leah (Byron, MN).

All race photos were snagged from Jaime (thx again). She had more great pics & maybe I'll get a few more posted later. With Jaime click'n pics I took very few all weekend. It was a wonderful Iowa trip filled with a Friday wedding, Saturday birthday & picnic, Sunday Jacobsen family reunion & Monday 4th of July festivities. Only wish that Bob could have been with me for the fun.
