Me: Superstition Mountain Trailhead.

Today the 5 of us hiked Siphon Draw & Flat Iron.

Not long into the hike it got steep. Really steep!

The previous photo was in this section we call the 1/2 Pipe. Steep, smooth and sometimes slippery rock. After that we had a scramble up some big boulders for another 1.5hrs. PS: You can see Flat Iron in the distance in the middle.

We popped out at a saddle, walked a bit more on some easy trail and had some fun on Flat Iron. See anything unusual in this pic?

After a snack on Flat Iron we did MORE climbing. This pic shows a cool view of Flat Iron. It's in the left side of the pic and looks like the bow of a ship or a flat iron!

We sat here and ate PB&J's, Cheezits and trail mix. Very peaceful.

So peaceful that Thor got all Zen like.

Back down at the bottom and a look back at the mountain. Flat Iron is in the far right corner of pic. The tippy top was beyond, behind and above the mountains you see in the middle of pic. What an awesome 4 & 1/2 hr adventure!

Our kissing shot from the day. :-)  Nice to have Bob back this week (he got in at midnight last night). We are so excited to have M, Rod, Ro and Ree flying in tomorrow. Lots of fun in the sun over the next 4 days!
