Martin: After the oysters were no longer, we drove around to a place near the river entrance where we had taken Adrian swimming the last time we were here. Discovered that the little beach that used to be located there had been all but washed away in a storm last year leaving only a pile of boulders behind. It's still a nice view from there anyway. The smoke is from backburning in one of the forests. It's carried out in a lot of areas in the cooler months to reduce the amount of undergrowth in the bush to cut down on the fire risk when the summer period comes around.

Me: Sunrise Ride. About 9 of us went out at 5:30am. Well before the temp reached 112. Ouch.
