Martin: After milkshakes and coffees we checked the maps to try out another panning spot located by a creek in a nearby camping area. Lucky for us that there was still some water flowing. I have never seen so many swarms of bugs as down by that creek but for some reason, they seemed to leave us alone, so we could get on with our excavating in peace. As luck would have it, we found a good crack in the bedrock that had not been cleared for a long time and it had gold flakes at the bottom. It was a slow process and we came across it just before it was time to pack up. Maybe next time. Had to tell Daniel ten times that it was time to go as he was certain that something worthwhile was in the bottom of that crack … as I said, next time. Home and our last evening meal at the farm. I managed to get out under the stars without any clouds about. Amazed at the number of satellites crossing the sky from all directions and stopped counting after fifteen.
Me: Sharing this cute photo from Pat & Bob. The girls had an overnight stay and play day at Grandma & Grandpa's (better known as Wela & Bob-Bob). Pic shows them enjoying lunch in the summer home they built. Very nice. We must eat there on our next visit!
I was back in Scottsdale for a 70 mile road ride today. Bob is back in Dallas for simulator training.
Jane - Looks like the girls had a perfectly wonderful lunch with Pat and Bob.
ReplyDeleteMartin - Sounds like another wonderful day!
