Martin: What else do you do when you have to sit in the back of the car for hours? We are talking economy class here.
Back to the cottage again. Had a bit of time before dinner to head across the road from the farm to have a search amongst the expanse of the old diggings. Would have been so interesting to see what it was like when this area was active with the countless tents and fire places burning in the evenings. Not so certain about the sanitary conditions! Makes you wonder how many artefacts and gold finds are still buried in the area, let alone, what unfound gold is left. Daniel swung the metal detector around till his arms were hurting. No luck for us besides plenty of bullet casings again, an old belt buckle and a few buttons. We also spotted a zillion rabbits and a few kangaroos. Patchy cloud arrived in the late afternoon and my sky watching was postponed to the following evening.
Me: American Airlines.

Cool snow photo that makes me think of all the storms across the country lately. Bob and I worked all day at the Lifetime Fitness Cycle Camp. It's a 4 day event, held in Scottsdale with over 200 attendees (most from MN, CO and MI). Bob assisted in putting bikes together and then we both were guides for the 40 mile group ride.
Jane - Sounds like you had a busy day...the snow pic says it all...the mid west really got hit again. We have just a light covering today..off to Cleveland to car show!
ReplyDeleteMartin - You had a very interesting vacation!
