Full day...Bob biked 50 miles. I ran 8 miles. We had a real estate appointment at noon and then Kavan and Riley came over to play this afternoon. Play-Doh is a big draw at the Meneely house these days.
Kavan likes our camping gear; head lamp and a walkie talkie. Bob and I are packing for Colorado!
Cool Cats!
PS: Kavan always puts his sunglasses on this way: upside down! Funny.
The Blues Brothers.
2 harmonica players making beautiful music (ahem). Kept them busy for a while.
What's going on here?
Riley is finding a new toy.
Kavan is getting change out of his cash register.
Harley is taking over the kid's blankets.
Bob is falling asleep.
I am too.
Good night.

Me: An early morning swim. About the best activity when it's 95 degrees at 5am!

Me: Bob took this photo yesterday before his flight out of Phoenix. I like the new American flag paint job on the tail of his American Airlines plane. Camelback Mountain is in the background. Nice pic, honey!

Me: Last Sunday's photo of Bob & his buddy Chris. This was in Dallas (where Chris, his wife & 2 kids live. And it's their home where Bob stays when he's on reserve in Dallas). Chris & Bob had fun setting up the grass volleyball net to play & give lessons to Owen & Peyton. Good photo of the two of them, who used to play TONS of volleyball together back in the day. Chris & Bob met when they played on the Foothill College men's volleyball team (1993). They also played a lot of summer 2-man tournaments together. In fact they were quite good (still are) and have some fun victories on their resume. One impressive victory was the Outdoor National Grass Championship which was held in Incline Village, Lake Tahoe. The year was 1998 & below is their newspaper pic. Love it!
Good job guys!

Me: Colorado 14'er Prep.
Bob and I are heading to Colorado on Monday. We'll be in Aspen & surrounding area for a couple weeks. We are looking forward to relaxing, hanging out with friends & family and hiking some 14'ers! Today I did some Colorado prep: packing our tent, sleeping bags and making summit signs for the mountain peaks we hope to bag.

Today's highlights:
- I did my first "real" bike ride since hand surgery. 30 miles! The hand still hurts & has a good bit of healing to go but it sure was nice to be pedaling again!
- Bob has 3 Phoenix layovers this week so he was home today, he's back tonight and is here all day tomorrow!
Today's lowlight:
- It's reeeeeaaally HOT! I think it was 114 degrees today. Ugh. Another reason to be excited about Colorado.

Martin: Being a week night, we just had the cake before dinner. Amy dropped over after school and Adrian was going out with a few friends afterwards to have a meal. We are going out on Saturday night with Ruth's sister for more birthday wishes.
Me: Me & my cool nephew, David who is recovering from gall bladder surgery. He went with to get my nose pierced today! ;-)
