Martin: End of a nice spring afternoon - Father's Day here. Have had a string of fine days.
Me: Field of yellow wildflowers on our way to Flagstaff. Weekend forecast is rain. Still going to camp and hike Mt. Humphrey's tomorrow with a bunch of friends. Will report on how wet we get! :-)

Martin: Ok, they don't look too impressed as they just lost their semi-finals comp.
Me: My good friend, Shelly.

Shelly and I hiked the Holbert Trail this morning. It's a trail in South Mountain that we hadn't done before. It was a scenic 6 miles; a nice time to walk and talk.

Martin: Sky was orange today due to smoke as they have been doing backburning in the national park before summer arrives.
Me: Kavan - 8 months old.

I watched Kavan today while Janna had massage appointments. He's crawling everywhere, can pull himself up on furniture, and plays well with blocks and measuring cups. Kavan loves a stroller ride and chasing Harley. :-)

Me: Photo from Friday night when the Arizona relatives got together in downtown Phoenix. We ate at CIBO; a 1913 home converted into a cool pizza restaurant.

Martin: Just another flower out in our garden. Had to play with the settings on this one due to the high contrast.
Me: The start of our hike this morning in north Scottsdale. Eight of us drove there to hike Tom's Thumb trail. I like this lone cactus.
We came across a snake! It was red and in a tree! Yikes!! Looked it up later and found out it's a coachwhip snake.
This is our group pushing to the top!
Us with Tom's Thumb behind us.
Harley did great today (even though she looked the wrong way for the photo).
Looking back from Tom's Thumb.
Bob always finds the most precarious spot for a picture.

It was a nice morning with our friends! This was our first time hiking to Tom's Thumb (6.3 miles round trip) and it was a great trek with large boulders and scenic views!
