My 1st successful batch of Kombucha (it was my 2nd attempt). After a week of fermenting in the pantry this is how it looked. The scoby (symbiotic culture of bacteria & yeast) is the white thing floating near the top of the jar.
Here are 3 of the 6 bottles I was able to fill! Now they're in the refrigerator chill'n & ready to drink.
While I filled the 6 bottles, I steeped the 2nd batch of water, tea & sugar. It's now in the closet with the scoby starting it's fermenting process. Next week I'll bottle again. I'm excited to save some money & drink my homemade brew!
