Me: Yep, tonight at 11:30pm Bob, Harley & I woke up to a loud thump & rattling cabinets. Bob went outside to see if anything was going on. The cabinet rattling for about 15 seconds had the feeling like an earthquake so we checked on line. Nothing on the local news stations but when we got on Facebook several friends were posting "Was that an earthquake?!"or "Anyone else feel that?!" Quickly more FB comments popped up & official reports appeared. Around 11:50 pm we felt another tremor. :-/ Apparently there were 3 different earthquakes that originated around Black Canyon City (a 3.0 magnitude at 9pm, a 4.1 at 11:30pm & a 4.0 at 11:50pm). We felt the 2nd & 3rd ones.
Good news…we survived & we will rebuild! :-)
I will say there have been several funny posts about the 11/1/15 earthquake already. These are some of my favorites!
LOL! :-)
Since Bob is from CA & his parents, sister & family live in the bay area I had to post this.
Hahaha! No, it was the earthquake! Really!
I'm sure there was a lot of excitement when this happened...I have only experienced a very small tremor, but even that got my attention....love the posting of pics!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny…because many people felt the shaking and woke up while many folks we know (including my sister who was closer to the origination point) slept right through it. It was the buzz all morning today on FB! heehee. :-)
ReplyDeleteTsunami warning at Tempe Town Lake last night.
ReplyDeleteI've applied for FEMA relief.
LOL Weldon!! That is funny! Did you feel it in Fountain Hills? The earthquake is the talk of the valley today!
