 Martin: After hanging out the washing this morning, I noticed how the corn was growing near our back door. Hope they survive the possums. That's mint in the background.

Me: Chilly morning desert walk with Bob & Harley. Bob always carves a heart in the dirt on the top of this hill. I like it. :-)

 Martin: Took the boys down to Wanda Beach & Elouera Beach to go body boarding today. Not all that warm, unpredictable size waves and current but the boys had a good time.

 Martin: Adrian was cleaning up after breakfast and the sugar jar fell out of the cupboard...guess who had to finish cleaning up? :-)

Me: Retro Riders on our 5:30am bike ride in the cold.

 Martin: This is a scribbly gum tree, a eucalyptus with a very smooth pale grey trunk. The bark peels off to reveal the scribble pattern that marks the trunk and is caused by the larvae of the tiny scribble moth. The bark that comes off has an identical copy of the scribble.
