Martin: Different angle on the Opera House.

Me: Friday Garage Sales.

I'm still under the weather (101.3 temp is gone but bad sore throat still with me). My mom, Bob and I stayed around the house today resting and doing some easy projects. Friday though, my mom, Kristen and I searched out the garage sales. We had a fun time and all of us found some treasures! A few of my finds: foot spa, 2 afghans, a retro fondue set, a retro Hamilton Beach malt maker, toys for Kavan & a small crockpot.

Me: I'm sick as a dog. And speaking of dog; it's Harley's birthday today! Bob took her out for a special desert walk and then to the doggie bakery to pick out a new bone, gourmet treats and a squeaky toy. She is 8 years old today and still our wonderful little girl. :-)

Happy Birthday, Harley! We love you!!

Martin: Visited the city to take some wedding pics of one of Ruth's friends from work.

 

Me: Hung up these diamond plated aluminum pieces behind the bike wheels (no more scuffed wall). Currently painting the garage cabinets grey (old kitchen cabinets). Large storage cabinets will be installed on Friday. Almost done with the garage!

 Martin: A good storm that built up after a fine humid day but it produced very little rain, only thunder.

 

Me: One of my favorite things is causing problems. I noticed a rash on my neck and down my arm the last few days so today I went to the doctor. After running some tests he told me I'm allergic to chocolate. I'm so bummed. :-(

April Fools! ha ha. :-)

I fooled a lot of people today!
1) Bob: At 5:30am I convinced Bob there was a rattlesnake in the backyard (behind the lawnmower). He jumped out of bed, got the headlamp and shovel and went searching. I grabbed Bob from behind and made the sound of a rattle. He jumped! "April Fool's". :-)
2) April: I e-mailed her and Carol "edited" senior photos by e-mail. 4 pictures that I purposely made to look awful. They were dark with horrible coloring. I expressed that I had worked hard on them and thought they turned out great. April fell for it and was quite worried about the poor job I did. After some time I finally called her. She first tried to politely tell me how to correct them and then I told her. "April Fool's". She laughed and was relieved.
3) James: Bob, James and I went mountain biking. I rode up ahead or them, went over a hill and got off my bike. I faked a crash, laid on the ground and acted hurt. When James and Bob (who was in on the joke) came upon me, James came to the rescue. He told me not to move and while he was assessing I expressed must be broken, I said: "April Fool's". 
4) Pat: I called Bob's mom to tell her of my visit to the doctor to figure out my rash. I told her how bummed I was to find out I have a chocolate allergy. Pat was shocked and sad for me.  She wasn't sure how I would cope without my chocolate. Too funny. April Fool's!!!

PS: Bob did get me back. On our mountain bike ride he jumped off his bike, threw off his helmet and yelled that a bee had stung him. I freaked, knowing he is allergic to bees, and tried to help him find the stinger. I was ready to get his epi pen out when he said, "April Fool's".
