Today we flew into Monterey, California. We're excited to spend 3 days with M, Rod, & our nieces, Rose & Marie! Bob's folks are driving down from Los Altos Hills to stay a night & have a day at M & Rod's beach house too!

Looking down into the bay of Monterey. The point is where 17 mile drive and Pebble Beach golf course begin. Rod spent some time there last week for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tourney. The girls got to go a day to the tourney too.

Soon after arriving we took a walk from their house to a nearby park & got right to climbing! Marie & Rose are amazing climbers; jungle gyms, monkey bars, rock walls, tall trees…they can climb it! We had fun racing around their obstacle course!

Next stop was Monterey's Dennis the Menace Park. Great park for kids (& grown ups too apparently). :-) Bob, Pat, Bobby, M, Marie, & Rose.

Tonight we ate at The Fish Hopper (a local favorite) & topped off the night with Ghirardelli ice cream sundaes (and maybe a few Nanimo Bars too (a family favorite made by Pat). Mmmm!

Pretty Valentine's tulips & carnations that Bob gave to Mom & I. He brought us chocolate too but it's gone. :-)

Bob & I had a wonderful Valentine's Day topping it off with attending "Dancing with the Stars"!!!! This was their last show on tour. It really was GREAT entertainment & because I faithfully watch this show on TV it was neat to see some of my fav pros…Peta, Emma, Val, Lindsey...

They even had Alex Skarlatos (Army hero who was 1 of the guys who stopped the gunman on France train). He & Lindsay did a beautiful patriotic number.

The show had high energy, lights, glitter, humor, touching moments & talent. It's no secret that I would love to learn to dance like the pros! Too late for that but a girl can dream. :-)

Bob is home again & after only 4 hours of sleep last night he needed an afternoon nap. Bob grabbed a sleep mask to block out the daylight while Harley thought she needed one to help her too. It appears they are both getting in some good zzzzz's!  :-)
