Me: A solo ride to Dobbins Lookout in S. Mtn. Also hit Buena Vista, Towers & San Juan.

And look what's blooming in May; all the Saguaros!

 Me: My Grandma Jacobsen (maybe 1981). This is my mom's mom in front of her home in Elk Horn (this was after she & my Grandpa moved off their farm in the country). I have wonderful memories of Grandma J; taking piano lessons from her weekly, eating her delicious rhubarb tapioca pudding, serving me toast with butter after school (I don't know why…but that was the best) and eating her red jello with bananas & whipped cream. She always dressed so nicely & even when she was in the nursing home she would wear a dress & have on a pretty necklace. I remember admiring the roses in her garden (the reason I love roses).

This is my mom with 6 of her kids (1961); Jim, Monte, Joan, Curt, Brent & Carol. Dad was off looking for Rod (:-/) and I wasn't born yet. I believe this was taken on July 4th after a local town's parade. I guess feeding kids snow cones is helpful with keeping them together (except for one).

Face-Time with Bob's mom today! Happy Mother's Day to you, Pat! I love you so much & appreciate the kindness, love & support you give us every day. You bring joy to those around you. I love your creative ideas for crafts & fun! I'm lucky to have you as my mother-in-law. Bob & I wish you a wonderful day. We look forward to seeing you in CA next month!

Happy Mother's Day to my mom. This is yesterday's photo as Carol & I were saying good-bye before mom boarded the plane for Iowa. I really hate seeing her sadness in this photo. It was a hard good-bye after 4 months of time together in AZ. I feel fortunate to have had that time! She has cared for me my whole life and doesn't stop worrying about me & others even now. She is just a special woman…I love you, Mom. Thankful for you & miss you already. I hope you have a wonderful day in Iowa with family that I know is surrounding you with love.

Me: Abbie talked me into trying Kickboxing. It was a first for both of us & we had a really fun time!! That's our instructor, Rachel in the middle. Groupon: 3 classes for $10! :-)
