Me: FedX delivered a box to Harley (& us) today! Harley is so excited and has no patience for waiting! Bob & I don't have any patience either but are showing some restraint. Thank you, Pat & Bob for the box of Christmas gifts inside!

Me: Merry Christmas to Bob …Santa brought him a new bike! It's actually used but new to him. Bob's been looking on Craig's list for a newer, lighter, full suspension mountain bike. This Cannondale checks all the boxes and was a  great deal. He just got his bike today and can't wait to ride it on the trails soon!

Martin: The tourists working out where to go next... it ended up being the hotel to lie down for a bit after walking about 8km.

Along with my sister, Carol & niece, Abbie

We had a great time at City Skate in downtown Phoenix. It was a beautiful night to skate, walk around & have dinner together. Family we couldn't convince to skate: My brother, Curt, SIL Nancy, BIL Paul, Nephew-IL Mike & April's friend, Lauren. Bob stayed home (still sick but improving).

Because of Bob getting sick we weren't able to fly to CA to celebrate Bob's dad's birthday today or have an early Christmas with his folks, sister, BIL & our nieces. We were really looking forward to our time with family there. Happy Birthday, Bob Sr…hope you had a great day! And hugs to our CA family…wish we were hanging out together right now.

Me: Jenn & I hiked Camelback Mountain yesterday.

Three Christmas trees were at the top! I would have liked to see the guys (or girls) who carried them up the mountain for 1.3 miles.

Martin: Comares Tower, on the right, is where Christopher Columbus was given the nod by Queen Isabella to go on his expedition that lead him to America.

 Me: Harley after throwing up 4x this morning. :-( Poor baby.

Now I have a "Sick Dog" & someone who is "Sick as a Dog"! :-( Poor Bob

This is the awards ceremony and my partner, Anna & I won. I was the only one in our division (Women's Duo Division) who stuck around after the hail to pick up our awards. Sure makes for an interesting & lonely picture on the podium. Haha.

Our Vitesse 4 person co-ed team took 1st as well. Congrats to Laurel, Geoff, Jason & JJ!

I have very few photos from the day. Here's me waiting for my 1st of 5 laps. 

Here's Anna! She started the race in the rain at 7:23am.

She also did 5 laps for our team; Winona Ryder.

This is a panoramic of the venue. Small pic so click on it to enlarge. "Dawn 2 Dusk" always draws a good # of participants. It's a well done event organized by a good guy, Dave of DCB Adventures.

This is just after our last lap (4:40pm). We had gotten caught in the rain, hail & freezing cold. My good friend, Kata (L), Bob & I rode the last miserable lap together (1 hour's time). Rebecca (middle) was Kata's partner and they took 2nd place in our division. Great job out there, ladies!! 

PS: I have no photos of Bob who was sick all day. But despite his sore throat & cough he supported Anna & I at camp all morning & still went out to ride 3 laps later (including that tough last lap). Thank you, honey!!

Still no photo of my teammate, Anna. She rocked the course having the fastest women's lap time of the day! It was fun racing with speedy, Anna and just a great day hanging out with friends.
