Me: "I'll take THAT one, the one in the middle!"

Today's theme word: MIDDLE
Here's my other edited version of that photo. Cropped a little tighter & made the middle donut a little brighter. Which one do you like better? I think I like the first one better. Still learning these fun camera apps. :-)

Me: Today's photography theme word: SHADOW...
So here's my Shadow Selfie on my way out for a mountain bike ride.
Here's Harely & I having fun making Shadow Animals on the garage door.
She's been working hard on the dog shadow. I think she nailed it.
PS: Her dog almost caught my bunny!
Out for a walk with my 87 year old loving mother & my 9 year sweet dog.

Martin: Modern graffiti.

Me: Today's theme word: TWO

I used two photos from yesterday & linked them together in one image.
I took a zillion pics on yesterday's foggy hike but am only posting a million below (you've been warned)...

Phoenix really doesn't get this kind of THICK fog. We felt like we were hiking off the coast or on top of a 14'er.
Thor was game for doing a bunch of goofy photos!
THOR…God of Thunder. :-)
"Letting my tree grow & sending blessings to those around me."
The fog created an eeriness to the desert. It made me think of "Land of the Lost".
Did anyone else watch that show on Saturday mornings? The Sleestak scared me!
The higher we climbed the more the sky cleared.
We popped out above the clouds with blue skies all around.
Downtown Phoenix, Camelback Mountain and Piestewa Peak are under those clouds.  In fact, you can see the tippy top of both mountains poking out above the clouds.
We hiked back down the trail, under the clouds and into the fog until we got home. What a great morning trek!! Thanks to Thor for enjoying the morning with Harley & I!

Martin: Ronda in southern Spain.

Me: A rare foggy morning that made for an amazing hike in South Mountain. Nephew Thor came over for a 2 hr trek with Harley & I. This photo of me holding up the sun is one of my favorites! Titled: "Solar Solitude on Super Bowl Sunday".
This is another favorite pic…a spider web covered in dew drops. The spider web was on our back gate with "our" saguaro cactus in the background. Look closely at the raindrops…they have an inverted reflection of the cactus & desert. Cool!

This picture was prompted from my photo class. Each day this week we get a theme word (open to interpretation).  Today's word: WINTER.
When you live in Phoenix rain & fog is our snow.

Martin: My favorite style of door knocker.
Me: It's raining here by me.
Phoenix, AZ
It's snowing there by him.
Steamboat Springs, CO

I've been enjoying the rain in Phoenix these past two days. However, all the people who have flown into the Valley for the Phoenix Open & Super Bowl aren't so thrilled. I know it's put a damper on many of the week's parties, expos, concerts and outdoor activities.

Bob's been flying to some cold & snowy spots. Steamboat Springs, CO yesterday & Hartford, Connecticut today. A high of 17 degrees. Brrrrrr.

Martin: Small town of Atajate, southern Spain.
MeLake Dog!
Harley was so comfortable paddle boarding yesterday. It's really fun to take her when she jumps right on & takes her place on the board for a ride around the lake. :-)
Love that dog!
PS: This version of my photo was edited by Lisa (iPhone camera instructor). I like it a LOT - especially how she included some of my life jacket, made the photo square & blurred the pic except for Harley. I'm learning how to use the editing apps & having fun. Need more practice though!

Martin: Cadiz. Like the way this shot shows the wind break effect on the waves.
Me: My nieces Abbie & Kim went paddle boarding today!
Harley & I joined them!
Kim is Matt's wife. Matt is Abbie's brother. Abbie & Kim are sisters-in-law. Matt is my nephew. Kim & Matt live in Denver. Matt & Kim have a dog. Matt's favorite color is…. :-) Haha. Anyway, Kim flew out for 3 days while Matt stayed in CO for work.
We rented Stand Up Paddle boards (SUP) at Tempe Town Lake & barely beat the rain!
The water was calm & we had a great time!

Thanks to Bob who was our professional photographer from shore!
