Bob biked 48 miles and saw this cool light house. Tomorrow he flies to Guatemala.

I am driving to Telluride tomorrow with our bikes, hiking gear and camping equipment.  I will meet up with my niece, Danielle and her 3 kids later in the week and before that I'll do some hiking with a friend. Bob will get to Colorado on the 17th and we'll have 4 days of playing in the mountains with a bunch of Vitesse friends. Not sure how much I can post while I'm camping but I'll update when able.

Me: Happy Independence Day! 

Bob, Harley and I had an uneventful 4th of July. We turned down a pool party, a movie, BBQ's and fire works this year. Instead we hiked, packed, did some office/craft projects and didn't see a single soul. Despite not wearing our red, white and blue today - we are patriotic and so thankful to the men and women who fought and fight for our freedom!

I'm proud to be an American,

where at least I know I'm free.

And I wont forget the men who died,

who gave that right to me.

and I gladly stand up,

next to you and defend her still today.

'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,

9:30pm update: Bob & I just ate a hot dog and saw fire works on the way to the airport.
Bob's off to work in Florida. Harley & I are going to bed.

Me: Bob is home for a couple days. He traded beautiful Cancun (see photo) for hot Phoenix. But he gained Harley and I. :-) We're glad!

Me: Tragedy in Arizona.

 Such sad news from the Yarnell Hill Fire (just outside Prescott, AZ). 19 firefighters killed when there was a radical change in fire conditions causing the Hot Shots fire crew to get caught in the blaze. I can't imagine the heartache of family and friends. The community is grieving and still in crisis as they continue to battle the fire.

Last I heard the fire (which was started by lightning) is 0% contained and has burned over 8,300 acres. Thoughts and prayers go out from us and the nation.
