Martin: Birthday visit to Guylian Belgian chocolate cafe.

Me: Photo from Bob's morning bike ride; a silhouette of a coyote on the mountain howling at the full moon. Bob also got some video which was cool but I couldn't get it posted.

Martin: No rain yet.
Me: Election Day. Stayed up late waiting for the results. President Obama was re-elected for 4 more years.

Whether we are happy or not with the outcome, we all hope for positive change for our country. Thankful we have the right to vote and voice our opinions. God Bless America.

Me: Tonight the Arizonans gathered at Curt & Nancy's new home. They and their other 2 children, Jake and Matt and Matt's wife, Kim are in town this week for their family vacation. This will be Curt & Nancy's vacation home since they live in Des Moines but since Abbie and Mike live in Arizona now, they'll be renting the home from them. It's the perfect home for them to gather!
The home has an awesome location with wonderful views and access to South Mountain. All of us had a great time tonight grilling out, playing games, watching the sunset and visiting around the campfire eating smores.

In photo (minus Joan, Janna, Andrew and Kavan who had just left).

Me: After Bob and I mountain biked this morning in McDowell Mountains with friends we went to April's state cross country meet. April ran great and we are so proud of her! She raced hard and was the 1st Deer Valley High School girl to finish. It was an awesome day to be outside and mom was able to enjoy the meet too!

Me: An afternoon at the Phoenix Zoo.
April, Carol, Janna, Kavan, mom, me and Bob took the pic.
It was a lovely day to walk around and enjoy animals.

Me: Thanksgiving, November 24, 2011
Jeff, Suzie, Bob, Helen, Nancy, Ken, Jane

This evening Ken and many friends gathered to celebrate the life of Helen, Ken's mother. Helen passed away last week. She was 98 years old and thankfully had lived her whole life healthy and happy. She was very proud of her 3 sons (Vic, Ken & Bob) and one grandson (Jeff, Ken's son),who were very good to her. Ken will greatly miss her as he spent quality time with his mom everyday. I'm glad to have known Helen. She was a true inspiration of a positive attitude. She always said age is just a number and should never hold you back. Up until she passed she tended to her flowers, paid her own bills and still cooked in her home.

In Loving Memory
