Martin: Very young Kookaburra looking for a feed.

Me: Bob and I joined some friends for the Flag to Grand Canyon mountain bike event on Saturday. 65 miles to raise money for Toys for Tots. Perfect weather and a yummy BBQ afterwards. Sunday we mountain biked again - the Barn Burner pre-ride. Came back to Phoenix completely beat!

Martin: Went to a 90th birthday party. This is one of around four or five cakes that had been brought along. One of the young kids there said that this cake must have been made to look like ninety year old skin.

Me: Headed up to Flagstaff with our camper this weekend. Peaceful spot in an open meadow with views of Kendrick Mountain.

Me: Another RAGBRAI shot. Here is the Arizona group (aka Team Dry Heat) at my brother Monte's farm on Day 2. It was really fun that this year's route went right by the home I grew up in. Monte & Emily said they had a steady stream of cyclists going by all morning.

Me: A view of the devastating Missouri River flooding. This photo was taken through my airplane window just north of Omaha. An enormous number of farms and acres have been effected and it will take 5 years in some areas to grow a crop on the land again.

Me: We've been enjoying DELICIOUS Iowa sweet corn all week. Now I'm boarding a plane for Phoenix tomorrow with a suitcase filled with 2 dozen ears of corn. What day do you think Bob will get sick of me fixing corn on the cob for dinner? :-)
