Bob & I are early risers... and it's worth it for mornings like this.

We love having the beach to ourselves.

Hello Zanzibar

Hello Zanzibar!!

What a beautiful sight!

On 7/31 Bob & I flew from Rwanda to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

On 8/1 we took a 2 hour ferry ride to the island of Zanzibar.

This is how I traveled; A bag on my back, one on my front and another on my side... hahaha!

PS: My bags did continue to get smaller as we delivered gifts to friends & kids we visited. :-)

Soon after our arrival to Zanzibar we jumped on a small wooden boat for a 20 minute ride to a little island inhabited by Galapagos tortoises.

Found a few peacocks on the island.

And some old stone buildings too.

Kinda like this long wooden pier.

After this island tour we were back on the boat to return to Zanzibar Island.

Enjoying the sunset on the Indian Ocean.

Excited to have these 2 days together here... just US.
