Yesterday's ride to Star Lake.
It was cold and cloudy.
Glad we dressed for the conditions and made it to this pretty lake.
7 miles of steep uphill pedaling was worth it.
Enjoyed a brief snack here (was too chilly to sit for long).
It was a fast downhill back to the cabin. Then Bob showered, packed his bag and headed to the Reno airport for a few days of work. Now it's just Harley and I in Lake Tahoe. We miss Bob already.

Happy Father's Day to Bob's dad, Bob!
A good pic of a good guy!
Glad you had a fun time with Pat & your Model T friends today. We look forward to seeing you in Reno in a week.
Happy Father's Day to my dad, Emery!
A good pic of a good guy!
Missing my dad since 2000. The impact of my loving father remains with me each day.

Thankful for our 2 wonderful dads!

PS: Johnson sent a sweet Father's Day message to Bob this morning. Grateful that Bob is an awesome role model for Johnson and a support to him. Bob's a good dad to Harley too. :-)
So, Happy Father's Day to my Bob and to ALL dads.

Mt. Tallac
June 15, 2018
On Friday Bob and I took Joe & Alana (friends from Phoenix) on a hike up Mt Tallac. They are traveling with their camper and have been staying on the north side of Lake Tahoe.
Mt. Tallac is not a hard hike but it's not easy either... 3,600 feet elevation gain on the walk to the top.
For sure it's a beautiful hike with Tahoe & smaller lakes all around..
The higher we got the rockier the trail.
Higher yet and there was snow!
Bob at the tippy top! 9,735 ft.
Wahoo from me!
YAY US!
The view to the west shows Aloha Lake (above my head) and Watson Lake down below.
The snowy mountains are part of Desolation Wilderness. Bob and I (along with 5 friends) will be backpacking there for 3 days on the Pacific Crest Trail; June 26-28.
Looks Brrrrr (but we're still excited). :-)
Happy the 4 of us connected for a day in Tahoe!
Back down the mountain. 10 miles round trip and hours of fun with friends.
Managed to photograph a few pretty flowers on our trek.
And managed to get a video of the CRAZY wind.
The whole hike wasn't this windy... but some areas were gusty!
We heart Mt. Tallac.

Day 1 (June 13) in Tahoe and we chose mountain biking.
Bob and I biked up Oneidas and Armstrong trails (9 miles of up).
The top of Armstrong on a gorgeous day.
Then onto the Tahoe Rim Trail for a little more climbing and incredible views. We even found some snow patches. View of Lake Tahoe behind Bob.
Then it was down, down, down Mt. Toad's Wild Ride; a well-known trail by mountain bikers everywhere. It's a bit technical for my liking but I still had fun. Bob and I didn't forget about Harley today... she had a walk in the woods in the morning and the evening. #luckydog #luckyus

Happy Heavenly Birthday to my mom today; June 15th. Of course I miss her... every single day. But I sure think of her with a smile on my face and love in my heart. I saw a butterfly on her birthday and to me... it's a sure sign... a gift from God & from my mom for me. I have faith in new life and a butterfly is that symbol. Happy Birthday, mom! I love you!
